Departing home this morning our first stop is at the Melton Country Club for a delicious morning tea.

From here we make our way into the rolling green hills of Gisborne South where we visit Gisborne Peak Winery, set in the tranquil bushland with the rows of vines surrounding the cellar door. On arrival we enjoy a guided tasting of some of their fine product.

Gisborne Peak also offers a delicious lunch of Taster's Platters served with warm Turkish Bread, followed by pizzas served hot out of the wood-fired oven. With the winery open to the views of the vines, the gardens and the lake, every seat in the house will allow us to soak up the relaxing atmosphere and enjoy a lovely afternoon. No wonder it was named as one of the Top 10 cellar doors in Victoria in the 2014 Age Good Food Guide!

Whilst at the winery, we will be given a presentation by the Macedon Historical Society in which we will learn a little more about the history of the area.
