We head off this morning to spend the day on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. With a reputation for fine food, wine, and beautiful beaches, it is no wonder that ‘the Peninsula’ attracts so many visitors!

This morning we make our way to Moorooduc, home to Pure Peninsula Honey. We’ll enjoy morning tea from the coach on arrival before visiting their farm shop to learn more about the process of collecting honey and why bees are so important. We can sample some of their honey and perhaps purchase some fabulous honey products to take home.

From here we continue on to Hastings on the shores of Westernport Bay, and enjoy a lovely 2 course lunch at the Marina Restaurant. Just next door is the Dolphin Research Institute, where we sit back for a fascinating presentation on Victoria’s living marine treasures, and learn more about the mazing underwater creatures of Westernport and Port Phillip Bays. Most Melbournians don’t realise just how much can be found below the surface of our bays!
